Posts are public to the community

Anyone in the community can read what you post — that's how peer support works. Share only what you're comfortable being seen.

No real identity

No real name, profile or photo. Your email is only used to send your sign-in code: the code's record holds it until the code is used (an unused code is deleted within 25 hours). Your board profile is filed under a code made from your email with a secret key only our server has, and the address stays on this device to keep you signed in.

🚫

Never sold

We will never sell your data or use it for advertising. A few services run the app for us: Google Firebase (the board and sign-in), Resend (sign-in emails) and Google Cloud Translation (translating posts). The privacy policy says what each one receives.

Your data travels over encrypted connections and is stored encrypted on secure Google Cloud servers.

You must be 18 or older to use Bipolar Anonymous. Posting hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable content, or abusing other members, gets your content removed and you banned permanently.

Moderation

Reported content is reviewed and acted on within 24 hours, and anything that breaks the rules is removed. A zero-tolerance breach means a permanent ban; any other breach means a temporary ban. You can remove your own posts at any time, and mute anyone with "Mute this user" in the ⋯ menu on their post (unmute them from the About screen).
